Locally, Khalil has led the following campaigns:

- Supporting local families. Across Headley Down, Bordon, Farnham, and Alton, Khalil has arranged delivery of more than 1,000kg of food donations to local families in need, supporting food banks and community groups.
- Raising millions for good causes. As Vice Chairman of Farnham’s Beacon for Peace, Khalil has helped raise over £2.5 million for local and national charities, including the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
- Fighting for skills and jobs. Khalil led the campaign to save Bordon’s Future Skills Centre, securing eight apprenticeships before Hampshire County Council forced its closure.
- Protecting our rivers. Khalil exposed Thames Water’s sewage dumping in the River Wey, prompting Ofwat enforcement action and raising awareness of environmental neglect.
- Mentoring the next generation. As a mentor at Woolmer Hill School in Haslemere and a visiting lecturer at Jamia Ahmadiyya, Khalil helps young people gain the confidence and skills to shape their futures.
- Active case work. Active on more than 36 live cases, supporting local people on issues such as homelessness, domestic violence, and SEND provision.
- Giving residents a voice. A regular contributor to local media, Khalil has written more than nine articles and opinion pieces in the Farnham, Haslemere and Bordon Herald in the past year, highlighting local issues and holding decision-makers to account.
- Standing up for local people. From potholes in Surrey and Hampshire to the shortage of care workers in local homes, Khalil has taken on casework across 22 different issue areas, producing evidence, holding councils to account, and pressing government into action.
- Championing access to justice. As Chairman of Lawyers for Humanity, a national organisation of more than 200 lawyers, Khalil has helped coordinate free legal support for vulnerable people across the UK.
- Humanitarian impact recognised nationally. Khalil has personally delivered almost 700 hours of pro bono legal work for individuals and charities, and provided free legal assistance to more than 1,300 refugees in Thailand and Sri Lanka who were imprisoned for claiming asylum.
- His humanitarian work was recognised by the President of the Law Society of England and Wales at the Legal Heroes Awards 2024.
- Advocating for international cooperation. A supporter of EU trade and collaboration, Khalil is also admitted as a solicitor in the Republic of Ireland, reflecting his international outlook and commitment to constructive engagement beyond borders.
- He has spoken in the House of Commons as part of the Voices for Peace campaign
- He continues to lead high-profile charity efforts, raising hundreds of thousands of pounds for local and national causes.
